| WINGS is a non-profit organization that provides clinical, emotional, spiritual and social assistance for newborns through twenty-one year olds coping with the limitations imposed by life threatening illnesses. WINGS is unique in that it facilitates numerous practical services such as hospital visits and discharge planning to ease the transition from hospital to home, home care services while the child receives curative treatment, and access to health care professionals specifically educated in pediatric pain and symptom management with extensive pediatric clinical experience. However, it is truly praiseworthy for its unwavering emotional support of families dealing with the trauma of juvenile illness. Catherine M.
